- What's the bacteriostatic water price?
- BAC water 3ml is £1.99 and 10ml is £3.99. The 10ml is cheaper per ml, at £0.40. For cheap BAC water in bulk, packs of 10, 30 or 50 vials cost less per vial: fifty 10ml vials work out at £2.79 each.
- Is BAC water the same as bacteriostatic water?
- Yes. BAC water is the short name, and Bacteriostatic Water for Injection is its name in the US Pharmacopeia. All three mean sterile water with a preservative, usually benzyl alcohol. It isn't plain sterile water, which has no preservative, or bacteriostatic saline, which also contains salt.
- How fast is delivery?

- Which size should I buy, 3ml or 10ml?
- Go by how much you add to each peptide vial. At 1ml each, a 3ml vial covers up to three and a 10ml up to ten. An opened vial is discarded after 28 days, so pick the size you'll use up in that time.
- How should I store bacteriostatic water?
- At room temperature, away from light. It doesn't need a fridge. It's a multi-use vial: discard it 28 days after first puncture, or sooner if it turns cloudy.
- Can I buy bacteriostatic water in the UK?
- Yes, as a laboratory reagent for reconstituting research peptides. It isn't a controlled drug, and this vial isn't a licensed medicine, so it's sold for research use only, not for human use. You must be 18 or over.
About Bacteriostatic Water
Bacteriostatic water is sterile water with a preservative, usually benzyl alcohol (ours has 0.9%). The preservative holds back bacterial growth, so one vial can be drawn from more than once. It's a common solvent for freeze-dried research peptides. We sell it in 3ml and 10ml vials, singly or in packs of 10, 30 or 50, for laboratory research only.
