What is GHK-Cu? Glycyl-Histidyl-Lysine copper tripeptide
GHK-Cu is a naturally occurring tripeptide complex consisting of the amino acid sequence glycine-histidine-lysine bound to a copper(II) ion. It is endogenously produced in human plasma and declines significantly with age — plasma concentration roughly halves between the third and seventh decades of life. This decline has driven decades of research interest in exogenous GHK-Cu as a model peptide for skin remodelling, wound healing and connective-tissue regeneration.
