- What's the AOD-9604 price?
- £34.99 for one 5mg vial. Two vials are £62.98, three are £83.98 and five are £122.47, which is 10%, 20% and 30% off.
- Is AOD-9604 the same as hGH Fragment 176-191?
- Close, but not the same molecule. Native hGH residue 176 is phenylalanine, so Fragment 176-191 starts Phe-Leu-Arg (CID 16131230, 1,799.1 Da). AOD-9604 is Tyr-hGH(177-191): tyrosine in place of that phenylalanine, CID 71300630, 1,815.1 Da, Cys7-Cys14 disulfide intact.
- How fast is delivery?
- Same day, from Manchester, whenever you order. Royal Mail Tracked 24 aims for next working day delivery. Free over £40, otherwise £3.99.
- What else do I need with AOD-9604?
- Bacteriostatic water, to dissolve the freeze-dried powder. We stock it, and you can add it from the Storage section above.
- How should I store AOD-9604?
- Sealed vial: -20°C, away from light. Once reconstituted: 2-8°C, use within 28 days, and don't refreeze.
- Can I buy AOD-9604 in the UK?
- Yes, for laboratory research. AOD-9604 isn't a controlled drug in the UK and has no UK licence as a medicine, so it's sold for research use only, not for human use. WADA lists it under S2.2.3 for athletes. You must be 18 or over.
About the AOD-9604 peptide
AOD-9604 is a synthetic 16-residue fragment of human growth hormone. It copies residues 177 to 191 of the hormone's C-terminal region, adds a tyrosine at the N-terminus, and keeps the disulfide bridge between its two cysteines. The design came from Frank Ng's group at Monash University and was taken into clinical development by Metabolic Pharmaceuticals in Melbourne. We sell it as freeze-dried powder in a 5mg vial, for laboratory research only.

AOD-9604 in the research literature
AOD-9604 comes out of Frank Ng's group at Monash University, which mapped which parts of human growth hormone acted on lipid metabolism. An earlier Monash fragment, AOD9401, had a different, non-tyrosylated sequence; AOD-9604 is residues 177-191 with an N-terminal tyrosine and the Cys182-Cys189 disulfide of the parent hormone kept intact. Heffernan and colleagues (2001) compared the full hormone with the fragment in mouse models, including beta-3 adrenergic receptor knockout mice, which is why that receptor appears in later discussion of its mechanism.
Metabolic Pharmaceuticals in Melbourne took the peptide into clinical development; the Wilding 2004 review summarises that programme, which reached phase II in Australia and ended in 2007 without approval anywhere. Since then the peptide has mostly been studied by doping-control laboratories: Thomas and colleagues (2016) built a urine screen for peptides under 2 kDa by direct injection, liquid chromatography and ion mobility mass spectrometry. WADA names it under S2.2.3.
HGH Fragment 176-191 vs AOD-9604: which to order
The two vials differ by one residue. AOD-9604 starts Tyr-Leu-Arg: residues 177 to 191 of human growth hormone with a tyrosine added at the front, YLRIVQCRSVEGSCGF, PubChem CID 71300630, 1,815.1 Da, C78H123N23O23S2. The native fragment starts Phe-Leu-Arg, 1,799.1 Da, because residue 176 of the hormone is phenylalanine, not tyrosine. The hydroxyl on that first residue is the whole difference, 16 Da, and residues 177 to 191 and the Cys7-Cys14 disulfide are identical in both.
A 16 Da shift is easy to see on LC-MS, so the lab report, once published on this page, will show which peptide is in the vial; a reduced open-chain form would sit about 2 Da heavier still. AOD-9604 is the molecule with the clinical history; the native fragment is the one WADA names beside it as hGH 176-191. Neither is a licensed medicine anywhere. AOD-9604 UK orders come as a single 5mg size, with packs of two, three or five at 10, 20 or 30 percent off, same-day dispatch from Manchester and free UK delivery over £40.
Stocked in the UK and dispatched from Manchester the same day you order. The lab report for this lot will be published on this page.
