About the Ipamorelin peptide
Ipamorelin is a synthetic pentapeptide, Aib-His-D-2-Nal-D-Phe-Lys-NH2, built from five residues including two D-amino acids and an alpha-aminoisobutyric acid at the N-terminus. It was developed by Novo Nordisk in the 1990s under the code NNC 26-0161 and is studied as a selective ligand of the ghrelin receptor, GHS-R1a. We sell it as freeze-dried powder in 5mg and 10mg vials, for laboratory research only.

Ipamorelin in the research literature
Ipamorelin came out of the growth hormone secretagogue programme at Novo Nordisk in the 1990s, where it carried the code NNC 26-0161. Raun and colleagues, 1998, characterised it in pituitary cell assays and in vivo, and the title of that paper, the first selective growth hormone secretagogue, sets out the claim the later literature tests: release of growth hormone without the wider hormone responses seen with GHRP-2 and GHRP-6. Johansen and colleagues, 1999, used it in a rat bone growth model, and Gobburu and colleagues, 1999, fitted a pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic model to human volunteer data. The receptor was later identified as GHS-R1a, the ghrelin receptor.
A second strand treats it as a ghrelin mimetic in gastrointestinal motility models: Venkova and colleagues, 2009, in rodents, then the Beck 2014 proof-of-concept clinical trial. The Sigalos 2018 review covers the secretagogue class as a whole and is clear that published human data on ipamorelin are thin.
Ipamorelin vs GHRP-2 vs GHRP-6: which to order

GHRP-2 is a hexapeptide of 818.0 Da that took the INN pralmorelin and is a licensed diagnostic agent in Japan. GHRP-6 is a hexapeptide of 873.0 Da with no INN.
