FAQ

CJC-1295 UK: common questions

What's the CJC-1295 price?
£24.99 for one 5mg vial. Two vials are £44.98, three are £59.98 and five are £87.47, which is 10%, 20% and 30% off.
Is this CJC-1295 with or without DAC?
Without DAC, the form also sold as Mod GRF 1-29: 29 residues, 3,367.9 Da, PubChem CID 56841945. The DAC version is a different molecule at 3,647.2 Da (CID 91971820) with an albumin-binding linker, which we sell separately.
How fast is delivery?
Same day, from Manchester, whenever you order. Royal Mail Tracked 24 aims for next working day delivery. Free over £40, otherwise £3.99.
What else do I need with CJC-1295?
Bacteriostatic water, to dissolve the freeze-dried powder. We stock it, and you can add it from the Storage section above.
How should I store CJC-1295?
Sealed vial: -20°C, away from light. Once reconstituted: 2-8°C, use within 28 days, and don't refreeze.
Can I buy CJC-1295 in the UK?
Yes, for laboratory research. CJC-1295 isn't a controlled drug in the UK and has no UK licence as a medicine, so it's sold for research use only, not for human use. WADA lists it under S2.2.4 for athletes. You must be 18 or over.
Research Compound

About the CJC-1295 peptide

CJC-1295 without DAC, also called Mod GRF 1-29, is a 29-residue amidated analogue of the first 29 amino acids of growth hormone-releasing hormone. Four residues are swapped against the native sequence: D-Ala at position 2, Gln at 8, Ala at 15 and Leu at 27. The design comes from ConjuChem in Montreal, whose DAC version added an albumin-binding linker. We sell the plain peptide as freeze-dried powder in a 5mg vial, for laboratory research only.

In depth

CJC-1295 in the research literature

The design problem is set out in Frohman and colleagues (1989): in plasma, dipeptidyl peptidase IV cuts growth hormone-releasing hormone after the Tyr-Ala at positions 1-2 and trypsin-like enzymes cut it further along, so native GHRH(1-29) lasts minutes. The four substitutions answer that. D-Ala at position 2 blocks the DPP-IV cut; Gln8, Ala15 and Leu27 replace the native Asn, Gly and Met, the residues most open to deamidation, chain flexibility and oxidation.

ConjuChem in Montreal built this 29-residue amide as the core of its drug-affinity-complex programme; the code CJC-1295 originally meant the DAC conjugate with its Lys30 linker. The Teichman 2006 trial and Ionescu 2006 studied that conjugate in healthy adults, measuring GH and IGF-I over days; neither tested the plain peptide, and the programme never reached approval. Henninge and colleagues (2010) identified CJC-1295 in an unlabelled preparation seized for doping control; WADA names it under S2.2.4. Work on the no-DAC form under its own name is thin.

CJC-1295 vs CJC-1295 DAC: which to order

CJC-1295 without DAC, also sold as Mod GRF 1-29, is the 29-residue amide: 3,367.9 Da, PubChem CID 56841945, CAS 863288-34-0. CJC-1295 DAC adds a thirtieth residue, lysine, carrying a maleimidopropionic acid group that binds albumin: 3,647.2 Da, CID 91971820, CAS 446262-90-4. The 279 Da gap is the check, and the lab report, once published on this page, will show which mass was found. The vial label here reads CJC-1295 for the no-DAC form; the DAC version is listed separately.

The published trials used the DAC conjugate, so order that to follow Teichman 2006, and this one for GHRH receptor or DPP-IV stability work. To buy CJC-1295 UK: one 5mg size, packs of two, three or five at 10, 20 or 30 percent off, same-day dispatch from Manchester, free UK delivery over £40.

Stocked in the UK and dispatched from Manchester the same day you order. The lab report for this lot will be published on this page.
