Two practical consequences follow from the sequence itself. And there is no tryptophan, tyrosine or phenylalanine in the sequence, so Selank has almost no usable absorbance near 280 nm; concentration has to be established gravimetrically against a certified peptide content or by another analytical route, rather than by the standard spectrophotometric method.
