About the Kisspeptin-10 peptide
Kisspeptin-10 is a ten-residue peptide, Tyr-Asn-Trp-Asn-Ser-Phe-Gly-Leu-Arg-Phe-NH2, cut from the C-terminus of human kisspeptin, the product of the KISS1 gene first described as a metastasis suppressor. The RF-amide tail is what the GPR54 (KISS1R) receptor recognises, so the decapeptide is the standard research fragment. We sell it as freeze-dried powder in a 10mg vial, for laboratory research only.

Kisspeptin-10 in the research literature
The KISS1 gene was first described in the 1990s as a metastasis suppressor, and the peptide side of the story began in 2001, when three groups matched its product to the orphan receptor GPR54. Ohtaki and colleagues, 2001, in Nature, identified metastin as the ligand; Kotani and colleagues, 2001, and Muir and colleagues, 2001, reported the same pairing in J Biol Chem. The field changed in 2003, when de Roux and Seminara independently reported that loss-of-function GPR54 mutations block puberty, which moved kisspeptin into reproductive neuroendocrinology. The Pinilla 2012 review in Physiological Reviews is the standard account of that work, covering GnRH neurone models, receptor pharmacology and the RF-amide family to which the decapeptide belongs.
Human studies mostly use kisspeptin-54, so Jayasena and colleagues, 2015, is one of the few direct comparisons of the ten-residue and 54-residue forms, measured against GnRH in healthy men.
Kisspeptin-10 vs PT-141: which to order
These two are often listed together but share nothing chemically. Kisspeptin-10 is a linear decapeptide of 1,302.4 Da, PubChem CID 25240297, and binds KISS1R (GPR54). PT-141, INN bremelanotide, is a cyclic heptapeptide of 1,025.2 Da, PubChem CID 9941379, and binds melanocortin receptors. The receptor under study decides the order. Kisspeptin-10 is on the WADA list under S2.2.1; PT-141 is not named there.
