About the CJC-1295 DAC peptide
CJC-1295 DAC is a synthetic 30-residue analogue of the first 29 residues of human growth hormone releasing hormone, made by ConjuChem in Montreal. It carries four substitutions (D-Ala2, Gln8, Ala15, Leu27) and a C-terminal lysine joined to a maleimidopropionic acid linker, the Drug Affinity Complex, which binds serum albumin in the literature. We sell it as freeze-dried powder in a 5mg vial, for laboratory research only.

CJC-1295 DAC in the research literature
The DAC form is the molecule ConjuChem took into the clinic, so most primary literature on CJC-1295 concerns this vial rather than the plain peptide. Jetté and colleagues, 2005, screened a series of GRF(1-29) albumin bioconjugates on rat anterior pituitary and picked out CJC-1295 as the long-lasting analogue. Two human studies followed. The Teichman 2006 trial measured GH and IGF-1 secretion in healthy adults, and Ionescu and colleagues, 2006, asked whether pulsatile GH secretion persisted during continuous GHRH receptor stimulation. The programme then stopped, so the clinical record is two papers from one sponsor. The 2026 review by Dominikowski and colleagues places CJC-1295 among GH-IGF1 axis peptides where the clinical evidence is thin. Analytical work treats the maleimide-lysine conjugate as its own LC-MS target; the 279.3 Da shift against the 29-residue peptide is the marker.

Both vials carry the same 29-residue backbone with the same four substitutions. The DAC vial adds a thirtieth residue, lysine, with a maleimidopropionic acid group on its side chain. That is the whole difference: 3,647.2 Da and C165H269N47O46 here against 3,367.9 Da and C152H252N44O42 for the plain peptide. The maleimide reacts with the free thiol on serum albumin in the bioconjugation papers, so albumin binding work needs this vial and bare GHRH(1-29) analogue work needs the other. Both are freeze-dried 5mg vials. The lab report, once published on this page, will show the 3,647 mass. Neither is licensed anywhere and both sit under WADA S2.2.4.
